Paa(2009)

Paa is a beautiful and original tale of a boy named Auro who is suffering from Progeria. It is a 2 hour and 15 minutes -well spent-movie with incredible performances from all the three main actors - Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Abhishek Bachchan. It is a complete 'paisa vasool'. Although this movie is primarily a Amitabh Bachchan movie, I will give the highest credit to Vidya Balan. Her acting is the best among the trio. Amitabh puts on a performance which is unlike anything you have ever seen. It is even more realistic than Brad Pitt in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. Pitt still had some scenes where he could be himself, but in 'PAA' Amitabh is nothing but a 12 year old mischievous kid.

Kurbaan (2009)

Two professors meet in a Delhi college and falls in love. They move to New York after marriage and soon things start to go upside down. The plot of the movie is very modern. The best thing about the movie is its acting and everybody delivers. Not a single person looked out of place. The movie lacks a little pace in the middle but compensates with a long and edge of the seat climax. Saif and Kareena has their chemistry going and acted brilliantly throughout the movie. Vivek Oberoi gave a very good performance after a long time and deserves special mention.
